Ether (ETH) deposits
OP Mainnet transactions require ETH, just as do mainnet Ethereum transactions (except a lot less of it). To get your ETH on OP Mainnet, you can use our bridge. It includes links to supported platforms if you want to transfer from a different blockchain, a centralized exchange, or a fiat onramp.

The OP Mainnet Gateway. We have a list of supported ERC-20 tokens, but you are not limited to them. See here for detailed directions.
You can select any token that exists on both Ethereum (also known as layer 1 or L1) and OP Mainnet (also known as layer 2 or L2).
Do not attempt to transfer a token that the user interface does not recognize (by name or address) using software unless you are sure of the Optimism address of the equivalent ERC-20 token. You could lose assets.

Third-party bridges. Those bridges are usually cheaper and faster than our main gateway, but have a more limited list of supported tokens.
